"Every few years America is struck by a fad. There was the Hula-Hoop and Davy Crockett. There were pop rocks and pet rocks. Now there is Pac-M[ondri]an, a craze that threatens to outdo them all!" The Prize Budget for Boys plan to release a series of Pac-Mondrian fine art originals and artist multiples. Consumer products will be created as singular sculptural objects or in strictly limited editions. Artist multiples will be sold through our website via PayPal and at participating galleries, and originals will be sold via a gallery or by eBay auction to harness the power of the market for our art. PayPal accepts the following payment methods: Each piece of official Prize Budget for Boys art comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity signed by the members involved in production and stamped with the PBFB seal. Similarly, Prize Budget for Boys prints receive the PBFB printer's chop, in as strict accordance as possible with the methods of Tamarind. This is the Digital analog to Pop. We are the Andy Warhol of the Internet. The Pac-Mondrian Artcade Cabinet simply substitutes Mondrian for Campbells, and Brillo for Pac-Man. All inquiries are to be directed to pacmondrian@pbfb.ca To receive email updates about the release and availability of PBFB art, sign up for our mailing list.
The epistolic story of the historic scandalous fight between PBFB and the Mondrian estate over the Pac-Mondrian copyright and money from the first Master Proofs eBay auction, commemorated in philately. A collaboration with Canada Post and the Canadian Bank Note Company.
